This cake is so easy and delicious.
Rustic
Apple cake
4 apples
½ cup flour
1/3 cup
sugar
1tbsp
baking powder
½ tsp
grated lemon zest
¼ tsp salt
1/3 cup
milk
2 eegs
2 tbsp
butter, melted and cooled
½ tsp
vanilla
1tbsp icing
sugar
Grease
9-inch springform pan, line bottom with parchment paper.
Peel,
quarter and core apples, slice into 3mm thick slices. Set aside.
In a large
bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, lemon zest and salt.
Whisk
together milk, eggs, butter and vanilla; pour over dry ingredients and stir
gently to combine. Fold in apples. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in 425
F oven until top is puffed, golden and firm to touch, about 40 minutes. Run
knife around edge of cake, let cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.
Release
side of pan from around cake, let cool completely. Dust with icing sugar.
That looks delicious and I may just have to try that soon. I found a recipe for peanut butter oatmeal that I hope to try today. I love simple and easy!
