Weekend.

This weekend was busy one, Saturday I had a craft show so I was out for most of the day and Sunday we went to my Mom for a birthday dinner. Despite that I was able to accomplish many things, like I made scones, froze bananas for smoothies, made apricot freezer jam, made strawberry shake, picked first cucumbers from my garden and made delicious dinner on Saturday.

Trip to the Zoo.

Every summer we pick one place to visit, that involves spending more money. Working with one income we have to stay on budget so trips are carefully planned. It is impossible for us to go everywhere  in one summer because of the ticket prices. This year my kids wanted to go to the zoo, this trip is a long one because it takes 2 buses and a subway and its a 2 tour trip one way, but we enjoy the visit.

Drying.

I love dry herbs in the winter so I make sure that I have plenty growing in the summer. So far I dried basil, sage, parsley and oregano. My husband made me this great little hanging strip of wood and it looks so much better then couple nails in the wall.

Cleaning up.

Right after I stopped working I did major clean up at home. The worst place was my kitchen, there was so much stuff pilled up everywhere. I went thru all the cabinets inside and on top and got rid of everything that I didn't need and now its so much better. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate when you are not 100% focused on your home.
