Breakfast.

This morning I made very simple breakfast. My Mom gave me some cottage cheese  so I cut few radishes and green onion from my window and mix them in the cheese, I boiled some eggs and added bread, so simple and delicious.

Family Day.

Today we have a Family Day so kids are home. Every one is still sleeping so I have a chance to sit at the computer and do some blogging. Normally on a family day we would go out but its raining so I picked out some games and puzzles and I think we will watch Harry Potter later on with some home made popcorn and snacks. I will probably squeeze in there somewhere some sewing because I have a big Spring Show in 5 weeks, we also will do some reading and I think today should be a successful day with something for everyone.

In my Garden.

Outside our window is a full winter and I'm dreaming about Spring. I can't wait until I can start digging in the dirt. The other day while cooking I found piece of ginger that started sprouting and then I found garlic that was sprouting as well so I decided to put them in a dirt and see what happens. I also put in some small onions and now they are all growing.

Reading.

My reading plans for January didn't go the way I planned. I was able to read 1 book and now I started the second one. I think that one book a month will have to do for now, as much as I would love to read more I have a hard time finding time to do so.

Pancakes.

Yesterday for lunch I made pumpkin pancakes completely waste free. I made my own dough so no packaging only egg shell but that went into the compost, the flour I buy in big paper bag so the bag is recyclable, I add vanilla  sugar which I make at home and baking powder comes in recyclable box. In fall I got baking pumpkins and roasted them in the oven and I froze small portions so that is where the pumpkin came from so again no waste. The syrup I used is my dandelion syrup that I make in summer and it's in glass bottle that I reuse. Completely waste free and delicious lunch.
