Vanilla.
This might be a little bit crazy but on the weekend I made my first Christmas gifts. The reason for that is that what I made needs about 6 months before it can be used. I made vanilla extract and vanilla sugar, perfect gift for a baker. For the extract I used 4 vanilla beans and premium vodka and for the sugar 2 vanilla beans and granulated sugar. The extract needs to be stored in dark, dry place for 6 months.

Not crazy at all - I follow the blog The Bluebirds are Nesting and the blogger, Annabel Smith and her readers are making items for their gift "pantry" for birthdays, Christmas, etc. I'm crocheting dish cloths and matching potholders!
