Ice cream.
This weekend was like summer, hot and sticky so on Sunday we decided to have ice cream for dinner. I usually don't do that but it was so hot we didn't feel like eating anything and I didn't want to stand in hot kitchen. Nobody complained and it was refreshing and different.

Crepes #2.
Before Easter I wrote about crepes and the cheese filling that I make. Here is another filling that goes back to my childhood: sauerkraut and mushrooms.
You will need:
- crepes,
- jar of sauerkraut ( I use one mixed with carrots),
- cut and cooked mushrooms,
- 1 small fried onion,
- 1egg,
- 1tbsp milk,
- breadcrumbs,
- butter for frying.
1. Rinse the sauerkraut with cold water, squeeze out as much liquid as possible and chop it in small pieces,
2. In food processor chop the fried onions and mushrooms,
3.Mix the sauerkraut and the mushroom paste in a pan and heat it up, make sure its well combined.
4. Spread the filling on each crepe, fold the sides and roll it.
5. On one plate beat the egg gently with the milk, use another plate for the breadcrumbs. dip each crepe in egg wash then in the breadcrumbs.
6. When you have all your crepes ready fry them on a bit of butter on medium heat on all sides until golden. They will burn fast if the heat is too high, serve warm.

In my Garden - inside.
Yesterday and today is really cold here, yesterday was snowing for few minutes and it was really windy so I didn't plant much outside yet but inside is a different story. My windows are full. Pictures are done on Friday when it was sunny.

Vanilla.
This might be a little bit crazy but on the weekend I made my first Christmas gifts. The reason for that is that what I made needs about 6 months before it can be used. I made vanilla extract and vanilla sugar, perfect gift for a baker. For the extract I used 4 vanilla beans and premium vodka and for the sugar 2 vanilla beans and granulated sugar. The extract needs to be stored in dark, dry place for 6 months.

Knitting.
I made few new washing cloths already used them and I love them. I use new pattern that my Mom suggested and it works great because one side is soft and the other is not.
The pattern is really easy, Row one: knit, row two: knit one, purl one.
