I have been cross stitching for about 10 years now. I
started after I visit my family and saw beautiful sunflower cross stitch done
by my sister-in-law. Beginning was little bit hard but after a while it got
easier. I love the process of making small crosses and creating a picture. I made holiday and birthday cards, Christmas
ornaments, pin cushions and birth announcements. Here is just few of my
stitching projects that are hanging on my walls.

Chocolate.
I made chocolate cake yesterday, just because we like chocolate; add some strawberries and strawberry cream and that is all we need it to make our day more wonderful.

Growing.
I always had many plants at home but since we got our cat I
had to move everything to the window because he loves to nibble on the leaves
and dig in the dirt. He has little space on the window right by my plant where
he likes to sit and for a long time now I noticed that he is no more interested
in my plants so I decided to try putting few in the living room. I brought a
table from my balcony and put some containers on and… it lasted two days; so
I’m back to window only.

Pizza rolls.
I saw this on my Facebook page and I had to try it. In the
video they used frozen pizza dough from grocery store but I used my own; you
just roll the dough out, put sauce everywhere and then roll and cut it like for
cinnamon rolls, bake on lined baking sheet in 400F for 15-20 minutes. The video
made it look very easy but I think because they used frozen dough it was easy
where my dough was much softer so I made a big mess while rolling; the sauce
was spilling everywhere but I made it and it came out delicious – great for
school snack.

Reading.
Finally I got this book, Down to Earth by Rhonda Hetzel. I
order it over a month ago and just received it. I have been reading blog Down
to Earth for a while now and really enjoy it. There is lots of good advice
there and it’s a perfect guide if you want to live simple life. I just started
to read a part about the house work and how it never ends; that is my struggle,
no mere how much I clean there is no finish line and that sometimes makes me
want to give up but then I think how much more work I will have if I stop
cleaning. I was thinking about this for a while, trying to figure out how to
make cleaning more pleasant and I started to tell myself that this is my home
and I want to live in a clean house so I need to work on it; it won’t clean
itself and by doing a little each day it will happen. Rhonda in her book says
that it will help if you look at it as a chore that is not supposed to be
finished just continues on. If you have a chance visit her blog.

Snow.
Yesterday we got some snow and it looked so beautiful; it wasn't cold and it was lightly snowing for most of the day. I love when the trees are coverd by snow like that. After school I decide it to go with Ella and have some fun in the snow. We had snowball fight and made snow angels. My older daughter had a dentist appointment after school so she couldn't join us but today is another day and the snow is still here.

Wings.
Chicken wings.
2 tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp sesame seeds
1tbsp grated ginger root
1tbsp sesame oil
1 ½ tsp sugar
½ tsp pepper
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
2lb chicken wings
In large bowl mix together soy sauce, sesame seeds, ginger,
sesame oil, sugar pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic. Add chicken wings; toss to
coat well. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for two hours, ( I marinate them
over night). Arrange wings on rack on foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Bake in
400 F oven for 20 minutes; turn and bake until juices run clear when chicken is
pierced, about 15 minutes. Broil wings, turning once, until crisp and browned,
1 to 2 minutes per side.
