After strawberries we have a cherry season, which I love as much as strawberry season. I preserved 40 jars of cherries plus 9 small jams.
I made a cheesecake with strawberries and jello and it looks really good but that is where it ends. The cheesecake is a cold one so there was no baking involved and it tastes good but its just not my thing, I like traditional baked cheesecakes.
Continuing with strawberries, for dinner I made pierogi with strawberries topped with sour cream with sugar.
I love this time of the year, strawberry season is one of my favourite, right next to cherry season. I try to preserve as much as possible but also we enjoy fresh fruit a lot. This week I will show you all the yummy things I did last week with strawberries, first are jams. I make just few and keep them in the fridge but I also make some freezer jams plus I freeze lots of strawberries for future smoothies and oatmeal.

Jam season has started and the first fruit is raspberries. I made just few jars because I am the only person that likes it so that will be enough for me.
