Tuna salad.

I got this recipe few years ago from my high school friend and finally I had a chance to make it.

You will need:
- 2 cans of corn, drained
- 10 pickles, diced
- 3 cans of tuna, drained
- 1 can of red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 5 hard boiled eggs, shredded
- mayo
- parsley

How to:
I used see-thru dish to show the layers but use whatever you have it will taste the same .

1. Spread the corn even on the bottom of your dish,

2. Add a thin layer off mayo,

3. Next is a layer of pickles,

4. Now spread the tuna,

5. Mayo again,

6. Red beans come next,

7. Eggs,

8. Another layer of mayo,

9. Decorate with parsley and chill in the fridge for 2 hours.

Weekend.

My weekend was really busy, on Saturday we went to a university expo just to get some ideas what is available, my daughter still has 2 years to go but she insisted on going.
I managed to do laundry in the morning and hand it outside, this way it was dry when we came back home.

Sunday I did some cleaning, iron some of the laundry, I made herb oils and apple juice. Dinner was really simple and for dessert I made blueberry muffins.

In my Garden.

It's mid September and I still have strawberries growing, not a lot but few every week. We had few cool days and it felled like a Fall but now we are back to summer weather and that makes my herbs grown bigger, Yay, more dry goodness in the winter.

Birthday.

On Saturday my little sweet girl turned 16 years old. It's unbelievable how fast time flies by. It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant and here she is almost done high school thinking about which university to go to and when I think about it in few years she will be moving out and entering the world all by her self.

Yesterday we had family over, and I made few thing like hummus, veggies with dip, home made salsa with chips, layer tuna salad (recipe coming soon) and of course cake.

Drying herbs.

I don't remember when was the last I bought dry herbs, I always make sure that I plant enough to dry until next season. This year my husband made for me few trays that fit nicely one on top of the other, for drying loose leaves. So beside hanging herbs to dry I have extra space when there is a lot of them, a specially on the end of season when I need to cut down everything in the garden.
