In My Garden.

 There are few peppers.

And the tomatoes finally turning red.

Someone is munching on my kale.

 Cucumbers just keep coming.

And we will have few strawberries.

Yesterday I took some time for myself after spending Saturday in the sun on a Craft Show. The heat is here and it gets to me, I don't work well in high temperatures, it was a long day so beside regular house work I spend some time relaxing. I finally started reading Taproot magazine, I got it some time ago and it was sitting on a shelf waiting. I'm really enjoying it.

Every year when it gets warmer I straggle with my laundry. I really want to hang my loads to air dry but living in an apartment has its limitations, not enough space to hang everything. And then there is the walking from the laundry(I use public laundromat) with heavy wet clothes. Wen I use dryers I do my laundry once a week and everything is done in 2 hours, if I decide to air dry I can do only one load at the time and with family of four I would have to do laundry for 2-4 days a week, one load a day. I was thinking about this for a while now, looking at the pros and cons and I made a decision to air dry, no matter if its summer or winter. The only things that I will use dryer for is the towels, sweaters and blankets because they just feel much softer. For hanging bigger things like curtains, table cloths and bedding I asked my husband  to make lines in the bathroom and they work perfect.

In My Garden.

I think that the balcony is my favorite place right now, I spend lots of time here with a book or a coffee, I even take my sewing out just so I can enjoy all the wonderful green around me. There are few empty spots in my containers because we ate all the lettuce but I put in some seeds so soon there will be green again. We have plenty of yellow tomatoes but the red ones are taking their time, there is a lot, they just stay green, it makes me wonder if they ever turn red. We ate the big cucumber and it was delicious and now there is few more almost ready to be consumed. Another basil harvest is coming soon and the potato is waiting to be pull out.

Weekend was totally blue, I spend some time working on blueberries. I made 22 jam jars and I froze 4 bags for later.

At least twice a week we have eggs for breakfast, wonderful organic eggs. Sometimes scrambled with some kale and tomatoes from my garden other times hard boiled on bread with tomato, lettuce and green onion from the garden.

In My Garden.

Every morning before kids wake up I sit on my balcony with coffee in my hand and enjoy all the green and beautiful plants.

This one will end up in today's salad with some yellow cherry tomatoes.
